03: long time no see everybody [01 May 2008|10:29am]

my deepest apologies for the vacation.

if you are into political art, Beasts, Breasts & Beauty should be your cup of tea. curated by Singapore-based French national Jean-Louis Morisot and his wife (and critic) Iola Lenzi, this exhibition promises "sharp socio-political commentary" and a "significant" number of the region's up-and-coming artists. you will be treated to inflatable latex sculptures, breast-shaped cushions, and a flying angel, among others. it will be held at the SG Private Banking Gallery of the Alliance Française de Singapour, located at 1 Sarkies Road. BBB opens this coming Monday 5 May 2008 at 6.30pm and lasts till 29 May. admission is free.

I'm not sure if this belongs here, but anyway I am confident any art-lover would be interested in the upcoming flea-tique - guess? - flea market. the first of its kind, it's hosted by Sculpture Square and will be (hip and) happening from noon till 7pm. and while you're at it, might as well check out Michael Ong's exhibition Form-ing Materials and Processes.
